2. California State University, Northridge
California State University, Northridge, is known for its in-depth Deaf Studies program that offers thorough instruction in American Sign Language (ASL), ASL/English translation, the principles of sign language interpretation and more. The school’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures offers majors in languages like Japanese and French.
3. University of California, Berkeley
The University of California, Berkeley, recently invested $500,000 into expanding its foreign language program, successfully adding 30 new course offerings for students to choose from. 4. University of California, Riverside
The University of California, Riverside’s Comparative Literature and Foreign Languages department offers nine majors overseen by a total of 40 faculty members.
